Whereas Placid Deformation was very personal and introspective, DOOMGOD filters the same anxieties through the lens of pop imagery, pulp crassness, and punk showmanship. It is an indulgence in nihilistic hedonism and an examination of the way media glorifies, sensationalizes, and paradoxically trivializes violent unrest through the bright colors and slick packaging of entertainment.
